My favorite thing is helping people find their voice.
Figuratively and literally. I love it! That moment a singer's eyes light up as they nail the high note or sing the perfect phrase is like gold to me.
As a performer, I have had moments when I wondered if my voice would cooperate, wishing for more notes in my range, and praying to overcome my stage fright; studying voice under various teachers and methods, I gained the most from those that treated me as an individual with a unique voice. I've been teaching performing arts for over 10 years, and those that have studied with me know this: Their voice is meant to be heard. There is always room to tune our craft. If it's scary, do it anyway. Tuned & Brave is what I push my students to be.
